Career Exploration Startup Hires Seasoned EdTech Exec to Support Expansion of Online Programs for Young Adults
Chris Edwards brings 15 years experience in higher ed to Qubed Education, and will expand partnerships between universities and major industry brands.
NEW YORK -- Jan. 10, 2018 -- Qubed Education, a unique education company that provides online courses to help students explore careers in industries aligned with their passions, today announced that edtech veteran Chris Edwards will join as executive vice president of partnerships.

Edwards has spent more than 15 years building partnerships in education for well known companies like Hobsons, Civitas Learning and Instructure. Most recently, he served as vice president of strategic partnerships at Helix Education, where he worked to help colleges and universities build successful online programs implement and manage new growth initiatives. At Civitas Learning, Edwards helped the build the initial cohort of universities leveraging predictive analytics to support student success.

In Edwards’ role as executive vice president of partnerships, he will work with colleges and university partners to develop new online programs that marry faculty expertise with real-world insights from industry experts.
Qubed Education currently offers online courses, taught by professors and industry leaders, from the Fashion Institute of Technology on the beauty industry, from the Parsons School of Design on the fashion industry and from Columbia University on sports management.
